My HTC Hero with CynaogenMod for Froyo (with iPhone aspects)

I was wondering why it took me a few days to get on top of the configuration for my Android HTC Hero running CyanogenMod (and to give it the benefits of some iPhone features). So, I’ve made a list of the main apps, widgets and bits’n'pieces that I’ve downloaded.

At the bottom I’ve started a list of some configurations too.

Configurations

Dock

I want to use all the space at the bottom of the screen which initially had 3 items and upped it 5

  1. Goto Settings > ADWLauncher > UI Settings > Main Dock Style > 5
  2. Drag items over the dock items to add or replace. To create custom icons before dragging, from the home: Menu > Add > Custom shortcut > Pick your activity > Touch the Icon > ADWTheme IconPacks

Widget (pull down for Wifi, )

I am always having problems with wifi, mobile data, syncing, etc. There are two options here. You can have them on a screen using the PowerTool widget or you can pull down on the notification bar. I chose the later.

  1. Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > User Interface > Widget Buttons (Then pick what you want to see)
